Kid's for ChristChildren's Bible Time
Children's Classes and Activities: Children ages Birth - Age 5 are welcome in our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible classes as part of our Little Lambs ministry. Grades 1-6 (known as KFC, "Kids for Christ") meet for Bible study during our regular class time, too. Quarterly activities, summer camp, and VBS provide ongoing avenues of ministry to children and their families at Goodman Oaks.

Children's Bible Time

Each Sunday during the morning and evening sermons, we provide worship activities for preschoolers. Children’s Church is offered on Sunday mornings to aid in training children ages 3-5 to participate in worship. On Sunday evenings, Bible Time focuses on the memorization of Scripture and Bible facts for ages 2-5. Children enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons and worship in each of these programs.

Basic Training

Basic Training

On Sunday evenings (August – May) our young people are invited to participate in Basic Training, a worship and Christian service training program. Real-life opportunities for Christian service and leadership are offered as we assist young people in identifying, exploring and developing their spiritual gifts. Through leading worship in area congregations, studying Scripture, engaging in Christian service projects and many other activities, young people are encouraged to grow in their relationship to Jesus Christ. Those who participate in Basic Training also have the opportunity to participate in the annual Lads to Leaders convention.

Thursday School

Thursday School is a free program open to children ages 3 through 5. Each session is ten weeks long, one in the spring and one in the fall. Its purpose is to minister and evangelize to families in our community. This ministry allows children who are not in a full-time preschool the opportunity to socialize with others their own age. It also assists in the transition from home to school.
